Hanging Basket Care
Watering
Most 10" to 12" baskets will need watering at least
once per day
If they are placed in a hot or windy location, you need
to water twice per day
TIP:
Our baskets are planted using soil-less mix, so when they dry out, the water
will run straight
through the basket. When this happens, you need to fill the basket two
times with water, then
wait 30 minutes and repeat watering.
Fertilizing
We find that baskets bloom more consistently when
they are fertilized with our FREE liquid fertilizer
You should use our FREE fertilizer each time you
water by mixing 2 Tablespoons of fertilizer with one
gallon of
water
You can also use the fertilizer straight in a water
hose fertilizing bottle that will meter the fertilizer at
the correct
dosage
TIP: Get your FREE fertilizer
by bringing your own container to fill when you pick up your

Draining
After it rains, tip your basket and drain excess
water from the hidden reservoir
this keeps
your basket from becoming over-watered
Pruning
If and When your basket needs "cleaning":
Always take
the seed pod or the spent flower and the stem back to the main branch
This method
of pruning will result in denser baskets and quicker re-blooming
When you
remove a stem; two new stems grow in its place, producing twice as many flowers
in
your basket.
Hanging your Baskets
"Sun" baskets need 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight
for flowers to bloom
"Shady" baskets when placed in hot sun will experience burned
leaves and wilting
TIP : We recommend using a dog chain swivel on your
basket hook. This will prevent your basket
wires from twisting and breaking in the wind. You can buy these swivel
hooks anywhere pet
